FBI nabs Dylann Roof "copycat" from Conway

It's been a little more than a year and a half since 21-year old white supremacist Dylann Roof murdered nine church-goers inside Emanuel A.M.E. Church in Charleston, South Carolina.  Today, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested 29-year old Benjamin Thomas Samuel McDowell on the suspicion he desired to carry out a similar attack on non-whites.

FBI documents detail meetings with an undercover agent where McDowell said "I seen what Dylann Roof did, and in my heart, I reckon I got a little bit of hatred. I want to do sh*t like that."

According to the New York Daily News, McDowell is a former convict who'd been developing bonds with white supremacists while in prison.  He was arrested while trying to purchase a Glock handgun and ammunition from an undercover FBI agent.

Several social media posts allude to his intending to carry out an attack, specifically mentioning the Temple Emanuel-El Conservative Synagogue in Myrtle Beach.
