EXO Makes Comeback With Summery Track "Ko Ko Bop"

EXO The War Teaser

EXO has made their widely-anticipated comeback with Ko Ko Bop, their new single straight from the South Korean boy group’s fourth album, “The War.” Ko Ko Bop is a smoky, slow-burning EDM-dipped reggae track that sits comfortably with the the rest of EXO’s eclectic catalogue.

A new body of work from the K-Pop superstars has been widely anticipated since last summer’s “Lotto” (the re-pack of the band’s 3rd album “Ex’Act”). To make things even more exciting, EXO opened official Twitter and Instagram accounts to share what fans have been waiting for. Each day, beginning from July 9th through the 17th, the official EXO social media accounts shared a new teaser photo and video for each member of the group. Fans immediately made each member’s name a worldwide Twitter trend on the day that corresponded with the release of their teaser.

Social media wasn’t the only place that EXO-Ls (the band’s fandom name) have been celebrating. According to Soompi, EXO’s “The War” album generated a record-breaking 800,000 pre-orders. As of July 21 (Friday), the Korean version of their hypnotic Ko Ko Bop music video has reached an impressive 15 million views.

Earlier this year, iHeartRadio caught up with EXO to talk about celebrating their 5th year anniversary as a group and touring the U.S. with their Exo Planet 3 – The Exo'rdium in North America Tour. Check out the interview below:
