Taylor Swift's 'reputation' Is 'More Emotionally Complex' Than '1989'

Despite kicking off her new era to an enormous amount of success, Taylor Swift has been on the DL, particularly keeping out of the public spotlight. It's a different kind of tactic compared to the build up to the release of 1989, but according to a new report by Rolling Stone, this LP will indeed include plenty of cuts that bring listeners closer to the headspace of the pop star.

According to a source close to the magazine, Swift's forthcoming album, which is scheduled to drop November 10 and serves as the follow-up to her blockbuster 2014 LP, will be "lyrically sharper and more emotionally complex." Swifties newest's bread crumb arrived on Monday (September 25) and also appears in the October 5th issue of the magazine, which is currently on newsstands.

Reputation's lead single, "Look What You Made Me Do," is still riding high on the charts. Even though Cardi B's breakout single, "Bodak Yellow," just bumped it from the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, the Jack Antonoff-produced cut is still experiencing all kinds of success. As per Billboard, "Look" is the "No. 2 on the Digital Song Sales (58,000, down 17 percent); falls 2-4 on Streaming Songs (32.7 million, down 18 percent); and is steady at No. 10 on Radio Songs (79 million, up 3 percent)." Additionally, the music video became the most-watched clip ever within 24 hours of its release, but the smash has also topped the charts in fifteen countries and received platinum certifications in both Australia and Canada.
