CCU Cheer team suspended in wake of shocking allegations

ABC 15/WPDE is reporting that the Coastal Carolina University (CCU) cheerleading team has been suspended, immediately.

WMBF-TV's report goes a step further, stating that an anonymous letter sent to university president David Diczenzo alleged some jaw-dropping transgressions: prostitution, acquiring alcohol for underage members, students completing school assignments for team members & more.

The team was set to participate in a national cheerleading competition in Daytona Beach, Florida, next month, and, while competition organizers show CCU as having paid and registered, an unnamed source tells WMBF-TV they won't be attending.

More information to come, I'm sure.
