ST5: ‘Fixer Upper’ Star Chip Gaines Sued By Former Business Partners

Congratulations to Ciara and Russell Wilson who — after a pregnancy that rivaled the length of Jessica Simpson’s — welcomed their baby girl into the world on Friday. Ciara made the announcement on Instagram, posting a picture of herself still pregnant and kneeling in front of the ocean, captioning it, “Dear Sienna Princess Wilson. No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm. We love you. Love, Mommy and Daddy. 7:03 p.m., 7 lbs. 13 oz.” Ciara has 2-year-old son Future Zahir with her ex-fiance, Future.

Janet Jackson stopped everything to have a baby. And now that she’s had her baby boy and filed for divorce from her husband, she’s got something big to announce. On Janet’s official website, the clock is counting down to 9pm ET tonight. We have no idea what that means. It could be that she’s got a new song coming out or that she’s going back on that tour she postponed (canceled) to have her baby. We have to wait a few more hours to find out.

Some hacker calling himself (or herself? or themselves?) The Dark Overlord claims to have stolen the upcoming season of “Orange Is the New Black.” They demanded a ransom from Netflix, who apparently didn’t respond to their liking. So to prove they mean business, The Dark Overlord released several episodes on an illegal file-sharing site, explaining, “We’ve decided to release Episodes 2-10 of Orange Is The New Black Season 5 after many lengthy discussions at the office where alcohol was present. Do note that there are 13 episodes. However, we were so early when we acquired the copies that post hadn’t gotten around to Episodes 11-13. Perhaps Netflix will consider releasing the season earlier now that the cat’s out of the bag?” The new episodes are still set for release on June 9. The Dark Overlord claims to have also stolen series from other studios, too, and promises to release those unless their ransom demands are met. The FBI is investigating.

Chris Brown must not be keeping his attorney very busy lately because Mark Geragos has to the time to file a $100 million lawsuit against everybody who had anything to do with organizing the Fyre Festival. He has one client in particular — Daniel Jung — who paid $2000 for his Fyre Festival package, which turned out to be a hot mess of FEMA tents and didn’t have any of those hot models from the ad campaign running around. And then people who tried to flee the island — yes, FLEE! — couldn’t. It was a music festival goer’s nightmare. So now Geragos is filing a lawsuit to cover all those who found themselves in the same situation as poor Daniel — some of whom paid way more than he did!! Some people bought the $100K package! They’re seeking damages “in excess of $100 million.”

“Fixer Upper” star Chip Gaines was slapped with a lawsuit by his former real estate partners, who claim Chip persuaded them to let him buy them out of the Magnolia Real Estate Company without telling them he’d made a deal with HGTV. John Lewis and Richard Clark — yes, they are Lewis and Clark — founded the company with Chip back in 2007. Business wasn’t really booming — after 6 years they only had one agent working for them. Lewis and Clark claim Chip talked them into selling their shares of the business to him for $2500 each, knowing the whole time that the HGTV deal was about to be announced, and it was…TWO DAYS after Chip bought them out. They want a million dollars in damages. Chip responded on Twitter, “Fyi: Ive had the same cell # 15 yrs.. same email for 20 yrs. No one called or emailed? 4 years later friends’ reach out via lawsuit.. humm.”
