Lockheart, this week's adoptable pooch from the Grand Strand Humane Society

We met Lockheart today, our four-year old (or so) guest from the Grand Strand Humane Society. He came to them as a stray, so they can only speculate on his past, but there are a couple of scars that indicate he may have had a rough time early on. You wouldn't know it by his demeanor though; all he wants is affection. He's ready for his fur-ever home (maybe somewhere to chase a ball with some kids?) now so go visit him or his other bark buddies (yes, they have plenty of cats & kittens, too!) at the GSHS on Mr. Joe White Avenue behind the Ripken Experience. They're open seven days a week (hours & info HERE).

Also, a reminder: their annual Walk For Animals takes place Sunday at Valor Park @  Market Common.  Sponsors & potential vendors: for more information on how to ensure your business or organization can gain exposure to hundreds of area animal lovers while you help the homeless pets at Grand Strand Humane Society, please contact our director, Suzanne Roman at director@grandstrandhumanesociety.com or call 843-918-4911
