In the wake of the Oscar nominations, a lot of people are upset that their favorite movie was snubbed. Atom Tickets and Fandago did polls and it showed that most people are upset that “Wonder Woman” wasn’t nominated for Best Picture, Gal Gadot for Best Actress and Patty Jenkins for Best Director. Others felt that when it came to Best Actor, James Franco should have been nominated for “The Disaster Artist” and Tom Hanks for “The Post.” However, many were pleasantly surprised to see nominations for “Get Out,” which is up for Best Picture and Best Director, Jordan Peele.
TMZ caught up with Joey Fatone and asked if there was any way *NSYNC would be joining Justin Timberlake for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Joey shut that down real quick. He said, “If I was doing something, I would be in rehearsal right now.” He also doesn’t think Justin would incorporate Janet Jackson into the performance because “he’s not that kind of person. He’s not controversial like that.” Or IS he…
Justin Timberlake posted on Twitter, “Random question: Can someone please explain the saying, ‘You just want your cake and to eat it too.’ What else am I about to do with a cake??” Dylan Farrow was happy to explain it to him. She tweeted back, “The saying means, for example, you can’t support #TimesUp and praise sexual predators at the same time. You can’t retain your credibility as an activist (i.e. – retain the cake) and, at the same time, praise a sexual predator (i.e. – eating the cake).” Dylan claims that her adoptive father Woody Allen sexually assaulted her as a young child. Last year, Justin starred in Woody’s movie, “Wonder Wheel.”
Two of the women who called out James Franco for wearing a “#TimesUp” pin at the Golden Globes are speaking out about their experiences. Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Violet Paley told “Good Morning America” that James is no Harvey Weinstein, but he did abuse his celebrity power over them. Sarah said she enrolled in James’ sex scenes course at his acting school and that she and many women in that class felt uncomfortable with the work. She explained that after they were given original scripts, he would throw in a lot of new scenes that “seemed gratuitous or exploitative.” Sarah said, “James abused his power by exploiting the non-celebrity women that he worked with under the guise of giving them opportunities.” And Violet said that while on a date, James pressured her into performing a certain act on him that she wasn’t comfortable with, but admits that she went on to have a consensual dating relationship with him. The reporter asked if she felt that having a consensual relationship after that first experience “complicates” her story, Violet said yes. But she said, “I was young. He was a celebrity that I looked up to.” She said she just wants him to apologize. And Sarah said James isn’t unforgivable — at least not for her. She said that moving forward, he should provide women with more valuable opportunities to advance their careers.
Now we know the identity of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s gestational carrier. She is La’Reina Haynes, a wife and mother of two from San Diego. According to RadarOnline, La’Reina was paid $68K to carry Chicago West. According to the contract, La’Reina had to follow a ton of specific rules, such as avoiding soft cheese and only being massaged with almond oil. But the contract also stipulated that La’Reina would be granted visits with Kim, Kanye and baby Chi. The contract states, “Before returning home, the Intended Parents and their newborn Child(ren) shall visit with the Gestational Carrier and her family for a minimum of two hours if approved by the Child’s pediatrician.” RadarOnline says that visit happened. The agreement goes on to say, “After the birth of the Child, the Intended Parents shall use their best efforts to call, write, or send a photo to the Gestational Carrier” and that this communication should be done when the baby turns “three months; six months old; and twelve months old.” It also says that this is just the “minimum.” Kim and Kanye can communicate with La’Reina as much as they want to. A source says this stipulation in the contract THRILLS La’Raina, who is a die-hard fan of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians
