For whatever reason, they’ve been rotating actors to play Colonel Sanders. But for the first time ever, Colonel Sanders is a woman! And she is Reba McEntire! KFC tweeted the new ad yesterday, showing Reba as the Colonel singing over their newest flavor, Smoky Mountain BBQ chicken. The commercial will hit TV this Sunday.
At the Oscars, it’s tradition for last year’s Best Actor to present this year’s Best Actress. But Casey Affleck — who won for “Manchester By the Sea” has done everyone a huge favor by removing himself from that situation. After he won the Oscar last year, previous allegations of sexual misconduct resurfaced and Brie Larson, who presented Casey with his award, refused to applaud for him when he won. She later said that her lack of applause spoke for itself. So Casey decided he’d rather not go through round two and withdrew from presenting this year. The Academy responded, “We appreciate the decision to keep the focus on the show and the great work of this year.”
Tom Cruise finally joined Instagram yesterday. He’s already posted two pictures. The first is a movie slate announced that “Mission: Impossible — Fallout” will hit theaters this summer. He captioned it, “Get ready.” The second was a picture of Tom in action, hanging off the side of a helicopter in flight…without a pilot flying the danged thing! He captioned that one, “We’ve upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible. I can’t wait for you guys to see more.” And after just one day on Instagram, Tom already has 727K followers. But Tom follows no one.

So they reportedly spent around a million dollars to install a panic room that is described as “the most advanced on the market.” In fact, the source says this thing is “so advanced that even military personnel haven’t used this technology.”
A lot of people are making fun of Vanity Fair’s new Hollywood Issue, with a photoshop fail that made Oprah look like she has three arms. Sources say it was an oversight after James Franco was digitally removed from that photo shoot. What they did was photograph small groups of celebrities in New York and LA and then they digitally merged them together for the full image. According to The Hollywood Reporter, James posed for the cover and even did an interview for the accompanying article. But he was erased — literally — after the sexual misconduct claims were made against him.
