Coronavirus Cases Up In SC, Governor Not Ordering Shelter-In-Place

(Columbia, SC) -- Coronavirus cases are up in South Carolina, but Governor McMaster says he is not issuing a shelter-in-place order.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 32 more cases for a total of 456 and two more deaths for a total of nine in the state.

McMaster says he has not ruled out a shelter-in-place order, but does not think the drastic measure is necessary at this time.

He said yesterday that he thinks the state is seeing success by asking residents to social distance.
