Here's When The 'Gossip Girl' Reboot Will Hit HBO Max

Attention, Upper East Siders: the Gossip Girl reboot has already begun filming. The cast of the reboot has been spotted filming in New York City in November, including on the Met steps looking just like Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen.

So, when will the show be hitting HBO Max? While no exact date has been announced, the streaming platform confirmed the next iteration of Gossip Girl will debut in 2021. During a video showcasing the titles set to premiere on HBO Max in 2021, a short clip of the new cast can be seen at the :37 mark.

Showrunner Joshua Safran chimed in on his Instagram Story, as well. Alongside a clip from the series, Safran teased the reboot is "Coming sooner than you think, but further than you like." This comment has left fans speculating the show will premiere in the back half of 2021.

The reboot will revolve around an all-new group of Upper East Side high school students as they discover the original Gossip Girl website. While executive producer Josh Schwartz revealed he's reached out to the original cast about making cameos, nothing has been confirmed just yet. One star who will return, though, is Kristen Bell as the voice of Gossip Girl.

Though no exact date is known just yet, the original series will begin streaming on HBO Max on January 1.
