Elf has become one of the most beloved holiday movies since it hit theaters in 2003, and Zooey Deschanel plays Jovie in the film, who meets Will Ferrell's character Buddy the Elf, and eventually helps save Christmas. But, Zooey is now revealing some surprising information — she has only seen the movie one time!

Speaking to Us Weekly, Deschanel said that it's not just Elf she hasn't really watched much of — it's anything she's been in. She told the outlet, "I don’t watch myself in anything. I feel like that might be narcissistic of me." Zooey added that she watched Elf "one at the premiere," noting that it was “really good," but ultimately concluded, "I just don’t watch myself."

Fair enough! But, that must be tough since her fiancé Jonathan Scott once said it's one of his favorites (like many, many other people). Last holiday season, he shared with fans on Instagram that he was watching the movie as Zooey was on-screen as Jovie, adding "What can I say? It’s my fav."

Deschanel had one additional thing to say to Us about Elf, and that is about working with co-star Will Ferrell. She said, "I love him. He’s a great, great person. One of the best," adding, "Seriously, one of the nicest people ever. He’s done incredible things since then."
