Camila Cabello is revealing the relatable reason she was a "loser" when she was younger.

While speaking with Dave Grutman at the Tribeca Festival at Art Basel Miami Beach on December 7, the "Havana" singer shared that she didn't see herself as cool as a teenager, citing an "obsession" she and her friends had with music and singing along to online videos instead of going out to parties, per People.

"We were total losers. We did not go to parties, we did not hang out with people," she said. "I was in my room singing and putting on YouTube instrumentals and singing and watching YouTube videos of my favorite musicians and my favorite artists."

Now 27 years old, the "I Luv It" hitmaker admitted that she still has that same passion, telling the crowd, "It was my life. I've always been like that. I'm still like that."

Cabello was just 15 years old when she appeared on The X Factor in 2012, going on to have a successful run in Fifth Harmony before the group went on hiatus in 2018. She released her debut solo album that same year and has continued to pave her way in the industry, including with her latest project C,XOXO, her fourth studio album that dropped in June. The Miami-raised singer also shared her response to fans' reaction to the album's different sound.

"For me, change and changing feels so natural and I'm always kind of changing and I realize there's pushing your own boundaries, but maybe not alienating people..." she said. "I feel like this last album was like that for me. I think this album was also really special because I don't feel like people knew I was a Miami girl, and I feel like people resonated with the little Miami things I put in that album."
